‘I’m a vegetarian , so I think I’m probably accidentally pretty healthy,’ she mused. ‘But I do love my food and I love my alcohol , especially an Aperol Spritz in this weather!’

The Britain’s Got Talent star is known for her glamorous holiday photos, polished red carpet looks and fearless sense of style. Now, she has shared a little more about what sits behind that camera-ready image – and her approach is far more relaxed than some fans might expect.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Amanda said she loosely follows a piece of advice linked to Elizabeth Hurley: having one main good meal a day. For her, that usually begins with a breakfast built around an egg white omelette with spinach, feta and avocado, finished with a green juice.

After that, Amanda said she tends not to eat again until the evening. But she was clear that her routine is not about misery, strict restriction or removing every treat from her life.

The presenter explained that being vegetarian probably makes her “accidentally pretty healthy”, but she also admitted she loves food and enjoys a drink, especially an Aperol Spritz when the weather is warm.

That balance is a big part of her message. Amanda said she applauds whatever works for other people, but she cannot be someone who cuts everything out. In her view, life is already tricky enough, so allowing yourself what you enjoy “within good reason” is part of feeling happy.

Her attitude gives the update a very Amanda-style twist: glamorous, confident, but not overly serious. Rather than presenting her routine as a rigid rulebook, she framed it as something that fits her own life and personality.

Amanda also joked about the secret behind nailing a bikini pose, admitting that she breathes in and suggesting it is something many women instinctively do. Still, she insisted there is no major trickery involved.

She also credited family genetics, saying her mother, grandmother and sister are all slim, while adding that she genuinely enjoys getting on her Peloton at home.

The radio and TV star said she uses the bike two or three times a week because it is easy to fit around her schedule and does not depend on the weather. For someone with a busy work life, that convenience appears to be key.

Of course, Amanda’s bold posts often attract plenty of praise, but she is also no stranger to trolling. Yet she made it clear that negative comments do not control her day.

She said she does not waste time scrolling through every remark, and if she sees something unpleasant on Instagram, she simply decides whether to block the person, ignore it or laugh it off.

Amanda described herself as someone who has built a thicker skin over the years, explaining that putting yourself out there publicly means taking the rough with the smooth. It is a frank view from someone who has spent decades in the spotlight.

When it comes to facing the world, Amanda also revealed that beauty plays a confidence role for her. She described makeup as her “armour” and joked that fans are unlikely to catch her without lashes and a little lip gloss.

Sunglasses are another part of her everyday confidence kit. Amanda said that even on an off day, a good pair of shades can instantly make someone feel like a winner.

Her latest comments come after a busy week in the public eye. On Monday, Amanda hosted L’OrĂ©al’s Professional Colour Trophy awards at London’s O2 Arena, a night she described as one of the most surreal hosting experiences of her career.

She recalled the venue being packed, with a huge catwalk, dinner guests, dramatic hair shows and models with towering styles. Amanda said the event felt like a “rave for hairdressers” and left her feeling as though she had found a whole new crowd of people.

For fans, the bigger takeaway from Amanda’s update is not just what she eats or how often she works out. It is the way she talks about confidence, balance and refusing to dim her personality for critics.

At 55, Amanda continues to embrace glamour on her own terms – mixing healthy habits with treats, workouts with fun, and polished style with the kind of cheeky honesty that has made her one of British TV’s most watchable stars.
