The Princess of Wales, 44, had completed the challenge solo, climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, also known as Yr Wyddfa. The route covers around 23 miles of walking, more than 10,000 feet of ascent and hundreds of miles of travel between the peaks.
Catherine took on the challenge to raise awareness and support for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, an organisation especially close to her after her own cancer journey. In her message, she explained that cancer affects far more than the body, touching emotions, relationships, work, family life and quiet private moments.
