David Beckham and Victoria Beckham have broken their silence in the most subtle way yet after their son Brooklyn Beckham delivered a bombshell public statement declaring he does not wish to reconcile with his family.

In their first public comments since Brooklyn’s six-page rant sent shockwaves through the Beckham household, the couple chose reflection over confrontation — responding to throwback images with just two short but telling words: “Good memories.”

As the family rift deepens and Victoria is said to be “devastated” by the week’s events, the pair appeared to signal heartbreak rather than hostility.

The moment unfolded on Saturday when celebrated British photographer Platon shared a series of unseen images from 2006, including a powerful photograph of David — then playing for Real Madrid — standing shirtless with Brooklyn’s name tattooed across his back.

Alongside the images, Platon reflected on the day of the shoot, describing a deeply intimate family moment that unfolded far from the public eye.

He wrote:
“Victoria arrived with Brooklyn, who was seven years old, Romeo, who was four, and Cruz, who was just a baby. Brooklyn and Romeo charged into the studio wearing football kits, kicking balls, doing headers and tricks.”

Platon continued:
“While Victoria was busy with the children, I began working with David. At one point, Brooklyn ran onto set with his football under his arm and hugged his dad’s right leg. Then Romeo joined him.”

The photographer recalled how Victoria later appeared holding baby Cruz, before the entire family turned away from the crew for what he described as a spontaneous, heartfelt group hug.

“It was a poignant thing to see — this moment of affection unfolding on a giant photography set in front of 60 people,” he wrote, adding: “Celebrity comes with a heavy price, and often it is family members who pay.”

The Beckhams quietly acknowledged the post. David commented simply: “Good memories.”
Victoria followed with: “Brings back great memories!”

Platon concluded:
“In this picture, although David stands alone, we see the love of his children tattooed onto his back. Family is everything. David Beckham, I salute you.”

The understated exchange came days after Brooklyn publicly accused his parents of attempting to undermine his marriage to wife Nicola Peltz, and made explosive claims about events surrounding their 2022 wedding.

In his statement, Brooklyn alleged that Victoria danced “inappropriately” on him during the reception — an accusation that reignited long-simmering tensions and stunned fans.

However, the wedding’s DJ, Fat Tony, appeared on ITV’s This Morning to clarify the incident, describing it as “really awkward” but placing responsibility on singer Marc Anthony rather than Victoria.

Tony explained that Marc Anthony had unexpectedly called Brooklyn onto the stage, before summoning Victoria and instructing Brooklyn to place his hands on his mother’s hips — disrupting what had been planned as the bride and groom’s first dance.

“There was no slut-dropping. No PVC catsuits. No Spice Girl action,” Tony insisted.
“The issue was timing. It was meant to be a bride-and-groom moment.”

He revealed that Brooklyn appeared devastated, while Nicola fled the reception in tears.
“It was awful,” he said. “Brooklyn left right after. Nicola left crying her eyes out.”

Despite the public fallout, David and Victoria have so far refused to address Brooklyn’s claims directly — a silence that has divided opinion among fans.

Brooklyn’s statement accused his parents of prioritising “Brand Beckham” over family, alleging years of manipulation, press control and emotional pressure — including claims that his parents attempted to push him into signing away rights to his name ahead of his wedding.

He also claimed Nicola was repeatedly disrespected by the family and said stepping away from them had eased lifelong anxiety.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Beckham clan appeared to carry on with their schedules. Romeo Beckham was spotted in Paris during Fashion Week with girlfriend Kim Turnbull, while Cruz Beckham was also seen in the French capital alongside girlfriend Jackie Apostel following the announcement of his first tour.

For now, David and Victoria’s brief words — “great memories” — appear to speak louder than any denial or defence, offering a glimpse of parental grief amid one of the most painful chapters the famous family has ever faced.
