Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has surprised fans after revealing the results of his third hair transplant — and the moment left his soap co-stars in stitches.
The actor, best known for playing David Platt on the ITV soap, showed off his freshly shaved head during an episode of the On The Sofa podcast, which he co-hosts with fellow Corrie stars Colson Smith and Ben Price.
Jack, 38, had kept his head covered with a baseball cap before finally deciding to do the big reveal on camera. As the moment built up, his co-stars could barely contain their reactions, turning what could have been a serious update into a light-hearted and very funny exchange.

Ben asked whether they were about to do the reveal, while Colson joked about needing a drum roll. Jack then removed his cap, showing fans the immediate aftermath of the procedure. His scalp was freshly shaved, with the transplant area clearly visible.
The actor laughed as he admitted the look was a bit of a shock. Colson, however, quickly said he actually liked it, suggesting the shaved-head style suited him. Ben appeared stunned before joking about the transformation, while the group laughed through the reveal.
Jack explained that the transplant had only just been done, meaning the result fans were seeing was from the very early stage of recovery. He also appeared pleased that the swelling was not as bad as expected.
The reveal quickly caught attention online, with fans rushing to comment on Jack’s new appearance. Some were shocked by the dramatic change, while others praised him for being open about the procedure. Several viewers said the shaved head looked surprisingly good on him, with one fan even saying the style really suited him.
This is not the first time Jack has spoken publicly about hair loss. He previously underwent hair transplants in 2019 and 2020 after experiencing significant thinning, particularly around the front of his scalp. At the time, he said stress and insomnia had made the problem worse, and he wanted to take action before the hair loss became more noticeable.
Jack has been refreshingly honest about the issue over the years, helping to reduce some of the stigma around men discussing hair loss and cosmetic procedures. His latest reveal shows that he is still comfortable sharing the process with fans, even when it comes with jokes from his co-stars.
For many viewers, that honesty is part of Jack’s appeal. Rather than hiding the procedure or pretending nothing had changed, he turned the moment into something funny, relatable and surprisingly confident.
After decades on Coronation Street, Jack remains one of the soap’s most familiar faces. But this week, it was not David Platt’s latest storyline getting fans talking — it was Jack’s real-life transformation.
And judging by the reaction, plenty of viewers are already backing the new look.
