She has a good reason for not being in Windsor.

This morning, Princess Eugenie will be surrounded by family and friends as she walks down the aisle of St Georgeâs Chapel to marry her fiancĂ© Jack Brooksbanks. But thereâs one senior royal who definitely wonât be in attendance at todayâs celebration, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.
While we were looking forward to seeing Camillaâs hat at the wedding todayâsheâs known for her striking toppersâshe will be instead be in Scotland, carrying out a number of engagements involving school-age children.
âTurns out Camilla is carrying out 2 engagements with a number of children on Friday 12th, Eugenieâs wedding day,â royal commentator Victoria Arbiter wrote on Twitter on Tuesday, as the news broke. âThis stuff is not as easy to reschedule as you might think.â
The Telegraph cites an anonymous source close to the Yorks who said they were âupsetâ that Camilla couldnât be at the ceremony, but a spokesperson for the Duchess of Cornwall denied there was any ill will between her and the mother-of-the-bride, Sarah Ferguson.
âThey get on very well, the couple has no issue with it,â he told the paper. âThey have known about the diary clash for some time.â
Arbiter also noted that duty comes first for the royals, especially when there is a pre-existing conflict.
âI know it seems odd that Camillaâs missing Eugenieâs wedding but it doesnât indicate any malice or ill-feeling. Royals donât like to disappoint,â she tweeted. âGiven sheâd already committed to attending a school event itâs duty first.â
