🌟 Timothee Chalamet and David Beckham bring Hollywood sparkle to Spain’s World Cup semi-final win

The World Cup semi-final between France and Spain already had enough drama on the pitch, but the VIP area added another layer of glamour as Timothee Chalamet and David Beckham were seen enjoying the night from opposite sides of the rivalry.

Chalamet, whose father is French and who holds both American and French citizenship, was there to support France as they tried to reach another final. The actor, known globally for Dune and his growing Hollywood profile, brought a showbiz flash to the occasion as he watched the French side fall 2-0 to a polished and ruthless Spain team.

Beckham, meanwhile, was backing Spain. The former England captain has deep connections with both countries after playing for Real Madrid between 2003 and 2007 and later ending his European playing career with Paris Saint-Germain in 2013. On this night, however, his loyalty appeared to lean towards the Spanish side, who struck once from the penalty spot and again after the break to leave France stunned.

Despite supporting rival teams, Chalamet and Beckham appeared relaxed as they chatted inside the hospitality area. The encounter quickly drew attention because it blended two very different worlds: Hollywood star power and football royalty. Beckham was joined by Victoria and their children Romeo, Cruz and Harper, making the semi-final feel almost as much like a celebrity event as a sporting one.

Romeo later shared a photo of himself meeting Chalamet, while Harper was seen greeting the actor during the evening. The Beckham family had clearly embraced the occasion, with some of the children wearing clothing in Spain’s colours as they followed their father’s chosen side for the night.

The celebrity crossover did not stop there. Both Chalamet and the Beckhams also met the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, whose popularity has surged thanks to the Netflix series America’s Sweethearts. Victoria posed with pom poms and joked online about whether she had made the squad, prompting a playful response from the cheerleaders themselves.

Chalamet also seemed genuinely thrilled by the meeting. In footage shared by the cheerleaders’ social media account, the actor admitted he was starstruck and posed for pictures with the group. It added another splash of American spectacle to a tournament that has repeatedly mixed football, entertainment and celebrity culture.

On the pitch, though, the night belonged to Spain. France, who had been widely regarded as one of the strongest sides left in the competition, struggled to impose themselves and were undone by Spain’s composure, structure and sharp attacking moments. The result sent Spain into the World Cup final and left France facing a painful exit.

For the Beckhams, the World Cup tour is far from over. After watching Spain beat France, they were expected to turn their attention back to England’s semi-final against Argentina in Atlanta. David and his children had already been spotted celebrating wildly during England’s quarter-final win over Norway, while Victoria’s calmer reaction became a viral talking point.

David later joked that Victoria had been celebrating on the inside after photos showed him and their son leaping up while she remained composed in her seat. Her understated reaction became another meme-ready moment, but she was later seen clapping along as England secured their place in the final four.

England now face Lionel Messi and Argentina in one of the most eagerly awaited matches of the tournament. With Spain already waiting in the final, the next night promises even more tension, more celebrity attention and another huge chapter in a World Cup that has become as much about star culture as sporting glory.

For Chalamet, the evening ended in disappointment as France crashed out. For Beckham, it was another memorable World Cup night among family, football and famous faces. And for Spain, it was a statement victory that proved they are ready for whoever comes next.
