Kate, a devoted tennis fan and patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, appeared relaxed and elegant as she returned to one of her favourite sporting traditions. Her Wimbledon appearances have become a highlight of the summer calendar, and this year she has been especially visible around the tournament, meeting players, staff, young fans and members of the public.
Earlier in the day, the Princess was seen shaking hands with British player Arthur Fery, whose remarkable run became one of the stories of the Championships. Fery made history by becoming the first wildcard to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals in 25 years before his fairytale journey was ended by Zverev.

Despite the defeat, the 24-year-old has clearly made a strong impression on the Royal Family. He revealed that Kate congratulated him on his unforgettable fortnight and wished him luck for the rest of the year. In a sweet detail, he also said he told the Princess that if her children ever wanted to hit with him, he would be available.
Fery said the Wales family are all tennis fans, adding that it would be good to see them again. The comment added another charming note to a tournament already filled with royal tennis moments.
Kate had previously congratulated Fery on social media after his quarter-final victory over Flavio Cobolli, calling his achievement a “fantastic” one that had inspired many. She signed the message with a tennis ball emoji and the letter “C”, a familiar personal touch from the Princess.
