Christine McGuinness calls herself ‘five-star lesbian’ and says she’s looking for a wife
Model and mum-of-three, Christine McGuinness, has opened up about her love life and plans for the future three years after divorcing Max and Paddy star, Paddy McGuinness
Christine McGuinness says she’s closer than ever with her ex Paddy, and said he’s even checked out the women she’s dating.
The model and mum-of-three, 38, broke up with the former Top Gear star, 52, after 11 years of marriage, but still lives with the comedian in their palatial pad in Cheshire for the sake of their three children, who all have autism.
Former Miss Liverpool, Christine, has spoken candidly about her sexuality following her split with Paddy, revealing that she has dated both men and women, including footballer and songwriter, Chelcee Grimes. However, now, the model has revealed she is “looking for a wife” as she bragged about being a “five-star lesbian”.
Speaking to Amy Spalding and Gareth Valentino on their LGBTQ podcast, It Started With A Kiss, she said: “I would love to have a wife one day, not like a legalised marriage, but like a blessing, a celebration of love and all of that, I would love to just be saying, this is my wife'”.
Explaining that she still wants to keep her romantic life and family life separate for the time being, she continued: “I don’t want to bring somebody into my personal life too quickly. I like the separate life. My family, my kids, my home is up there and then I come to London, step off that train, I can work, have fun, I can sleep in and I don’t need to worry about everything.”
However, while revealing that she “lives a double life”, Christine admitted it has caused issues in the past with her previous relationships with women. “This has become a problem because eventually it gets to the point where, obviously, Iâm quite happy at this, and then my womanâs going⊠[When] am I going to meet the kids? And âare we doing this forever?â And I’m kind of going like, “OK, I thought I did tell you that that wasn’t going to change any time soon at the beginning”.’
Insisting she has always been “upfront” about her situation, Christine said: “I feel like it’s always me that sticks to the plan. This has been a thing with all of the women that Iâve dated. Iâll always let them know my situation.”
. The star said her ex Paddy is supportive of her new life.
On the podcast Christine is asked: âAre you showing him pictures like, âOh look at her, sheâs fit. What do you think of her?â
And Christine tells the hosts âThereâs times where we have, yeah.â
The mum speaks very candidly in the interview, particularly when recalling one night with a “very beautiful woman” Revealing that she was the “giver for the evening and morning” – as well as telling her partner she will only use sex toys fresh out of the plastic, she recalled: “Iâm so serious. I went: ‘Stop, no because you might be a gold-star lesbian, but Iâm a five-star lesbian.”‘ A gold-star lesbian is a slang term for a lesbian who has never had sexual or romantic experiences with men.
Christine continued: “‘So I got to this hotel and Iâm thinking this is just sex, itâs fine. And she was a very, very beautiful, like that perfect, pretty, handsome, like masc[uline] stud type woman, really gorgeous, dark skin, like she had the whole, everything…I was the giver for the evening and the morning, and I kept myself to myself.”
The Games star added: “But itâs what always happens and Iâm always quite surprised, especially when itâs a masculine woman. I always expect it to be the other way around, but it just never is. Itâll always be me doing the most and theyâre a pillow princess.”
Christine has previously said that she and Paddy are rarely in the home they share at the same time, but admitted it would “take a while” before they went their separate ways saying: “We know itâs going to take a while because weâve got children, going back home, we both kind of get that reality check of we can’t just go and move in with somebody just yet.”
She also admitted that they’ve shown each other pictures of the women they are dating now, insisting that their split is amicable.
