Love Island is back – and the first singletons have been revealed. These include a detective, an electrician, a nurse, a quantity surveyor and DJ, a businessman, a student from Barbados who lives in London, a school teacher, a real estate videographer, and a model.

The series is just days away from starting, with a fresh batch of singletons hoping to find the love of their life in the Majorcan villa during the summer of love, and ITV is pulling out all the stops this year. But one thing is certain, one singleton will not be played by any men in the villa.

Robyn Langton

Liverpudlian Robyn, 21, a quantity surveyor and DJ, says that everybody in the villa will be equal and she’s hoping that nobody will think they’re better than another person. She said of the type of person she doesn’t want to meet: “Someone full of themselves or someone who thinks they’re better than everyone. You’re never better than anyone next to you. Also, people who eat with their mouth open – it’s a no from me.”

But Robyn has her eyes firmly set on one type of man, although she admits she finds personalities attractive too. She’s hoping to meet a man who is “tall, fair, muscles, nice teeth, pretty boy.” A situationship is also off the cards for her. She explained: “Finding love is my only goal. There may be a little bit of drama but I’m going in there for myself so I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do. But I would like to think I’m a girl’s girl and that I handle situations quite well. I’ve got a mature brain.”

Robyn also says she won’t be quick to jump into a relationship; instead, she wants to really get to know her next partner. She explained: “I like to observe first. I wouldn’t say I’m a slow burner, but I like to take in someone’s personality, how they carry themselves, and how they interact with other people. I won’t just rush into something; I have to genuinely like someone. And I’m an absolute star, they’ve got to tick all the boxes before they even have a chance with me.”

Lorenzo Alessi

And that leads us on to business owner Lorenzo Alessi, 28, from Hertfordshire. He admits he’s looking for a blonde girl, but hasn’t ruled out any other hair colours. And he’s partial to dating a “posh girl”. Lorenzo admits he has a “niche” attraction to one part of a woman’s body – her arms.

“I don’t know why,” he said, adding: “It’s really strange! Imagine like a Jessica Alba or an Angelina Jolie kind of arm and neck, I find that very elegant. Very niche, I know!”

And like Robyn, he has no time for ill-mannered people; instead, he prefers high maintenance when it’s “done right”. “If someone is rude with it and not good fun or good vibes, I’d find that quite irritating,” he commented. But unlike Robyn, Lorenzo admits he’s hoping for drama in the villa.

“As long as no one is crying, all is fair in love and war,” he said. Speaking of the competition he’ll be up against, he went on to say: “I’m very much a self-deprecating person, so if I and another guy were interested in the same girl, I’d encourage her to go and speak to him, that’s how I’d navigate the situation. Sometimes it ends up working, reverse psychology!”

Mica Harris

Mica Harris, 21, a student from Barbados but living in London, says she’s after a tall man, as she’s quite tall herself. “I like a little bit of a buffer, a bigger guy,” she said, adding that personality is most important when it comes to finding a boyfriend.

One type of person she will not entertain is an “egotistical cringey” man; instead, she wants her boyfriend to be totally obsessed with her. And although she’s looking for love, she also wants drama. She revealed: “Obviously the whole point is finding love and that’s going to be my main goal. I’m not saying I’m going to start drama but if there is drama going on, I would obviously be a little bit nosey and want to know what’s going on.”

And she’s not going to hold back on the quest to find a partner. “If I have my eyes set on someone, obviously I’m going to pursue them,” she disclosed, before adding: “But if they’re not reciprocating that then I’m going to take a step back, have a think, and change directions and think about who else I could explore with.”

Sean Fitzgerald

Hoping to find his forever partner is primary school teacher Sean Fitzgerald, 25, from Galway, who says his type on paper is “female”. He won’t settle for cockiness and a dry personality. And his main goal in the villa is to watch the drama unfold, and he will be “mixing it”.

And his male co-stars ought to be worried as he’s quite competitive, having played Gaelic football. “If I see someone I like, I’m going for it and nothing’s gonna stop me,” he said.

Ellie Chadwick

Real estate videographer Ellie Chadwick, 24, from West Lothian, however, has her type sorted. “Simple
tall, dark and handsome,” she said, adding: “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. It’s a classic for a reason. Nice teeth, nice tattoos, partial to a blonde as well. Pretty face. Look like you’re going to break my heart but like, please don’t.”

And although she likes confident men, anybody who is too cocky will be shown the door by her. She does, however, want to find love, but says that she won’t turn her nose up at drama.

Speaking about her relationship strategy, Ellie added: “You can’t go in too keen but you’ve got to make them know you’re interested. But, I also like someone that chases me. They’ve got to come up and meet me at the halfway line. But I will go to the goal if I need to. Offside? Who knows? I guess we’ll see.”

Samraj Toor

Model Samraj Toor, 25, from Birmingham, says he hasn’t got a type on paper. He said: “If you look at my history of dating, all girls have been different! I like the way a woman carries herself, her mannerisms. I like that.” This time, he’s hoping to find someone who walks in who thinks they’re “right by being the loudest person in the room, who wants to pick an argument.”

And he’s also here for the drama, as well as love. He commented: “I like a bit of both! Best case scenario I’m walking out with someone I really connect with. My first girlfriend. But I don’t mind a bit of drama, it’s fun! As long as no one is getting hurt.”

Reflecting on his plan to handle the show, he said: “I’m competitive with everything in my life, competition doesn’t phase me. I’m actually looking forward to it because Love Island is going to find the best single guys. I’m really intrigued to see how I match up against other people.”

Samraj also doesn’t have to chase people too much outside the villa; instead, he has women chasing him. He revealed: “Without sounding arrogant, in the outside world I don’t really chase that much, I’m used to girls coming to me. I know in the Villa it’s a different dynamic. In the beginning I’m not going to be pushing myself out there, I’m just gonna watch and see who I like and then go from there.”

Detective Lola, 28, from Kent, admits she can “be a bit of a brat,” especially if she’s “hangry”. In the villa, she’s looking for an “Italian-looking” man, with dark hair, although she always ends up with blonde guys with light eyes. “I like someone who is quite big, as in a good cuddler, good muscles kind of way,” she said.

She went on to add: “I think funny goes such a long way. I like someone who is smart who can teach me things. I like book smart but even if they’re not book smart I like someone who is like actually teaching me stuff. Someone who does everything for me but I can’t take the p**s.”

In the villa, she’s hoping that a cocky person doesn’t walk through, as there are “so many” things that give her “the ick”. She explained: “If someone says they are a cheeky chappy that makes me sick to my core.” Another thing she won’t settle for, is men who wear backpacks.

She won’t, however, be looking for drama as she’s a “chilled person”, although she does enjoy watching drama unfold. “I’m really looking for love, I want a boyfriend again. I want to find someone who is actually the love of my life, like obsessed with me kind of thing,” Lola said.

Sam Workman on Love Island

Sam Workman

Samuel, 25, an electrician from Dudley, is hoping to find a woman who is “classy, mature, blonde, fun, and someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously.” He doesn’t want to see a rude person walk through the doors, adding: “There’s no reason you can’t get along with people.” Samuel says he cannot stand “fake or two-faced people.” Instead, he much prefers honesty.

After a year of being single and dating, he’s finally ready to settle down. After being shy about his feelings when he isn’t interested in a woman, Sam says his dating tactic is to “definitely go straight for the goal.”

Angelista will be avoiding drama

Angelista

Nurse Angelista, 24, from Staffordshire, wants to find a confident man with “nice teeth” who will listen to her. She’s hoping somebody who enjoys being the centre of attention won’t walk through the doors this year. “Finding love is my goal. I’m not here for drama, I’m non-confrontational. It’s entertaining to watch from the sidelines, I just don’t want to be involved in it,” she said of her intentions in the villa.

Speaking about how she’s going to approach the competition, she said: “I’ll put myself in the position to be seen by the guys so they know I’m interested, but I’m not gonna beg it. I’ll be in the mix, 100 per cent, I’m not watching in the back.”

Ope Love Island 2026

Ope Sowande

West End performer Ope, 27, will be making the villa home for the summer, and insisted that he hasn’t “really got a type”, but is hoping to steer clear of anyone with “negative energy”. He also conceded that he has “such a wandering eye” when it comes to relationships.

Teasing what we could be seeing on our screens, the Lincolnshire-native vowed: “I’m never playing anything safe, that’s boring. My thing is to go for the goal and make someone laugh straight away. I think that’s the key to love and the key to getting girls.

“My ultimate thing in life is to make people feel comfortable around me, so as soon as that happens, I’m sweet. And I’ve got the best smile in Britain.”

Jasmine Muller

Jasmine, a fashion business owner from Dubai, declared that she is looking for an “objectively hot, really charismatic and confident” man, but also announced that she is ready to get stuck into the “drama”.

“I live for it. I’m always involved in everyone’s business,” the 27-year-old admitted. “I’m basically the auntie of the group. Everyone literally calls me “Jasmine Auntie.” So bring me love, bring me drama, bring all of it.”

The Sun reports that Jasmine once dated Arsenal footballer Héctor Bellerin, 31, who now plays in Spain.

Aidan Love Island 2026

Aidan Murphy

This year’s batch of contestants is rounded out by 23-year-old Aidan, a property broker from Kent. He said of his type: “Personality is the most important thing for me. Obviously, I know if I find someone physically attractive but if we’re not connecting, laughing, and having a good time, it just wouldn’t work for me.

“I like someone who’s fun, can take a joke and doesn’t take themselves too seriously. If we’re constantly laughing and getting on, that’s what matters most.”

Lifting the lid on his game plan, he added: “I’ll speak to as many people as possible and get to know everyone. For me, it’s about being myself. I’m confident in my personality, so I think that will come across naturally.”
