Prince George became one of the most talked-about faces on Centre Court as Wimbledon’s men’s final turned into a royal family day out under blazing summer heat.
The 12-year-old future king joined Prince William, Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte in the front row of the Royal Box as temperatures in London climbed to 29C. While the action on court was focused on Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev, cameras also captured George trying to keep cool during the sweltering afternoon.

Dressed smartly in a navy suit with a light blue shirt and tie, George looked every inch the young royal — but even future kings are not immune to a heatwave. After taking his seat beside William, he was pictured using a white handheld fan, similar to the one Kate had used during the women’s final the day before.
The father-and-son moment quickly caught attention. William, also dressed in a dark suit and tie, appeared relaxed as he chatted with George, with both of them smiling together while watching the match. George was also seen keeping hydrated as the sun beat down on Centre Court.

Princess Charlotte added another sweet touch to the family outing. Wearing a blue summer dress, the 11-year-old looked composed beside her mother, Princess Kate, who appeared radiant in a flowing green dress. At one point, Charlotte was seen giggling as George put on sunglasses and a sunhat during the second set, giving royal fans a light-hearted sibling moment.
Kate and Charlotte also shared warm smiles as they watched the tennis together, while the Princess of Wales greeted the crowd to a standing ovation as the family took their seats. Prince Louis, the youngest Wales child, was not present at the final.
Fortunately for those in the Royal Box, much of the seating area remained shaded for parts of the match. Still, as the sun moved across Centre Court, hats, sunglasses and handheld fans became essential accessories for royals and celebrities alike.

Many famous faces were also seen trying to beat the heat, with Nicole Kidman using a fan, hat and sunglasses to shield herself from the sun.
The final itself brought the usual Wimbledon drama, with Sinner and Zverev battling for one of tennis’s most prestigious trophies. But for many royal watchers, George’s heatwave survival strategy became one of the most memorable moments away from the court.
The young prince’s appearance also came at a time when he is increasingly stepping into more visible public moments alongside his parents. Set to attend Eton College from September, George looked more grown-up than ever, sitting beside William in the Royal Box and taking in the occasion with confidence.
