Fans of Good Morning Britain were left raging as Reform UK member Robert Jenrick made an appearance to chat to presenters Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley on Friday morning. Together, the ITV hosts grilled him on leading topics such as the Iran war, Peter Mandelson and tax cuts.
However, as he made repeated points slamming the Labour government and Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Kate kept stepping in to make opposing points – angering fans at home. At one point, the pair ended up speaking over each other awkwardly. They had been talking about tax cuts on air travel when Jenrick accused Starmer of making yet another ” predictable U-turn”. But Kate quickly jumped in to protect the PM, saying that he was “trying to protect Britain”. Jenrick hit back: “Well, he didn’t succeed, did he?” Kate was left speechless as she shrugged her shoulders in defeat and allowed the minister to continue talking.

Taking to Twitter/X, one viewer angrily penned: “That interview with #RobertJenrick was poor… Garaway and Madeley should have just rolled him over and tickled his tummy like a puppy dog …no challenge to hardly any of his points and they let him just ramble on evading the questions #gmb.”
Another said: “@GMB Here we go again Garraway on her Liebore horse again !! Amateur lefty woke the usual GMB party
Political Promotion for the GOVT welfare party! BOYCOTT ADVERTISERS ON THIS !! Let their HQ know, email them.” One more quipped: “Ha Kate trying to catch the minister out!!! It didn’t work #GMB.”
Someone else added: “Jenrick, Reform would lock repeat offenders up in jail. GMB failed miserably in reminding the imbecile he and Tories left our prisons a day short of total collapse!!!
“There are zero places available to put them in prison. Unchallenged again by GMB. Farcical interview.”
One more person raged: “GMB with Jenrick this morning. A Reform-biased interview. No aggression, no butting in, no bullying.
“Asked a question ‘what would you do?’ No answer. He was allowed to gabble rubbish.
“Yes they highlighted their appalling image. Jenrick’s response, ‘they all do it!’ No they do not.”
