
A body has been found in the search for a 79-year-old woman who vanished near the University of East Anglia.
Jill Grint was last seen near her home in Earlham, a village in Norwich, at around 10.30am on Friday.
But a body was recovered yesterday afternoon from the River Yare in Cringleford, about one mile south of where Jill’s most recent sighting.
Passersby spotted the body in the river, which runs through the Norfolk area.
While formal identification has yet to take place, Jill’s family have been informed.

The death is not believed to be suspicious.

Jill was last seen wearing a blue coat, navy trousers, navy trainers and carrying what appears to be a yellow bag.
Doorbell camera footage showed her using a walking stick as she walked near her home on Sarah William Close,
Police said that police dogs, drones and a police helicopter were involved in the search.
