For years, the Prince of Wales has been seen as the composed face of the monarchy during royal engagements, often praised for being approachable, patient and professional. But according to new allegations resurfacing from royal insiders and Prince Harryâs own memoir, Williamâs private temper can apparently erupt in dramatic fashion when tensions boil over. Because apparently even future kings still handle family conflict like exhausted men trapped in a group chat nobody can leave.

Royal author Christopher Andersen claimed in his book Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen that William is capable of âgreat bellowing tantrumsâ behind closed doors.
Speaking to Page Six, Andersen alleged that while William is âkind and considerate to a faultâ with Kate Middleton and their children, his behaviour can shift dramatically during moments of frustration.
A former Highgrove staff member reportedly backed up those claims, alleging that Williamâs booming voice is impossible to ignore once he loses his temper.
âWilliam has a huge, booming voice,â the former aide reportedly claimed. âMuch louder than his fatherâs, so itâs not something you soon forget.â
Andersen also suggested the prince may have inherited that fiery streak from King Charles III, who has long faced rumours about his own outbursts. The author previously alleged Charles once became so furious after losing a cufflink down a drain that he allegedly ripped a sink from the wall in frustration.
The claims surrounding Williamâs temper became even more explosive after Prince Harry detailed an alleged confrontation between the brothers in his memoir Spare.
Harry claimed William arrived at his London home in 2019 already furious during an argument centred around Meghan Markle. According to the Duke of Sussex, the confrontation escalated physically after William allegedly grabbed him by the collar and threw him to the floor.
Harry wrote that he landed on a dog bowl which cracked beneath him, leaving cuts on his back.
In the memoir, Harry recalled telling his brother: âWilly, I canât speak to you when youâre like this,â before attempting to calm the situation by bringing him a glass of water.
But Harry claimed the argument continued moments later, alleging William again grabbed his collar, ripped his necklace and knocked him down.
According to Harry, William later appeared apologetic and allegedly told him: âYou donât need to tell Meg about this.â
Neither Kensington Palace nor Buckingham Palace have publicly addressed the latest resurfaced allegations surrounding Williamâs reported temper.
For royal watchers, the contrast between Williamâs polished public image and the explosive private claims only adds another layer to the never-ending tension surrounding the royal family. Britain really did take one complicated family and turn it into a multi-season psychological drama with crowns.
