A recent scene has left fans of Coronation Street wondering if they’ve figured out who orchestrated Jodie Ramsey’s kidnapping.
Earlier this year she was shown tied up in the back of Emmerdale’s Graham Foster’s van, with him taking her somewhere. We’ve never found out their true link, while it was suggested he was working for someone, and that’s why he had Jodie.
But it’s never been confirmed who Graham was working for and why they wanted Jodie to be kidnapped. Fans have speculated it could be linked to teenager Olivia, who Jodie was a nanny for.
In a recent episode Olivia explained how Jodie upped and left one day without a word, seemingly recently. This sparked the theory that it was Olivia’s family that were the reason Jodie fled, and why she was kidnapped.
There’s still so many questions, but fans are wondering if a scene this week has shed more light on it all. Jodie seemed panicked over a flyer that had been posted to the Platts’ home, where she lives.

She covered up her panic, but it was clear to viewers she had a link to the company advertised. Fans are now convinced the owner of this company, or someone working there, was out to get her.
They think Jodie was kidnapped by Graham on behalf of someone linked to the haulage firm. Then when Jodie was shown looking into the company, a familiar face was shown on the website.
It was Olivia, the girl she’d looked after. So with Olivia linked to this company in someway, and Jodie panicked by the brochure, fans are sure it’s all tied into her being kidnapped.
A fan said: “I’m guessing the company in that leaflet is related to the van we first saw Jodie tied up in.” Another agreed: “Was Jodie thinking about the time she was tied up in the back of Graham’s van?”
Another said: “Jodie looked spooked at seeing that brochure – a family haulage business coming soon to Weatherfield.” A further fan added: “I think Jodie was looking at that poster like she knew who was linked to it and maybe they were the ones who had her kidnapped and in the van, and so maybe we’re finally seeing who caused her kidnapping and tried to have her harmed.”
It comes as Corrie boss Kate Brooks teased how she came up with the big murder plot, with Jodie a possible victim. Speaking to The Mirror and other press, Kate spilled on how having so many villains helped her plot the storyline.
She said: “We we’re in a unique position where we did have five very complex people in varying degrees of villainy. Let’s make a virtue of the fact that anyone of them could be a potential suspect and victim.
“But they also could be an absolute killer, it’s a unique position to be in so let’s make that the story point and explore that. Adding it to the wedding, we wanted a really joyous romance full of hope and love, and it is a beautiful wedding.
“But obviously we are a soap so we need that backdrop of drama and excitement, but I didn’t want to tarnish the wedding either. They’re oblivious, they’ve got no idea, their watching fireworks and Sally’s shimmying out of her jacket which is one of my favourite moments by the way.
“Having a great time, oblivious to the drama unfolding on the street, a way of getting the best of both worlds so we’ve got these really exciting stories and a big week, preceding that is a glorious, joyful wedding about two people falling in love but oblivious. The wedding element became a nice backdrop to everything.”
