Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre, who has been a mainstay in showbiz for more than 30 years, has addressed the idea of retirement amid his major music comeback

Peter Andre has spoken out about his shock retirement plans, after an upcoming live tour. The pop star, 53, shot to fame in the mid-1990s with the release of Mysterious Girl and has been a mainstay in the world of mainstream showbiz ever since.
The singer was famously married to ex-glamour model Katie Price, whom he met on Iām A Celebrityā¦Get Me Out of Here! in 2004 and has Junior, 20, and 18-year-old Princess with her, but tied the knot with Emily MacDonagh in 2015 and has Millie, 12, Theo, nine, as well as two-year-old Belle with her.
Over the last few years, Junior has carved out his own career in music whilst Princess has enjoyed major success with her ITV2 reality series The Princess Diaries and Peter, who will release his comeback album Legacy on April 10, has admitted that there will come a time where he is tired of the spotlight.

During an interview on Wednesdayās Good Morning Britain, he was asked what would happen if his childrenās success started to āeclipseā his own.
Speaking to hosts Ranvir Singh and Richard Madeley, he explained: āPrincess has done the second series [of her show] and sheās on the third. I want them to just go and spread their wings. I think they already are [eclipsing my success]. I love it. I love it!
āHow nice is it that theyāve got the schedules? āOh youāve got to be there at this timeā¦ā Iām still hungry for it, and thatās why Iām still going but there will come a point when I just donāt want to do it as much.ā
But Peter, who has also carved out a career in theatre having appeared in the West End production of Grease and is due to star in Mamma Mia! The Party alongside X Factor winner Sam Bailey, doesnāt seem likely to actually retire any time soon as he is ultimately still enjoying his time in showbiz.
He said: āIām just so happy, Iām always smiling. Iām gonna go on tour, the Legacy Tour, which we havenāt announced. But the album, it comes out on the 10th. You can pre-order it now, so weāre gonna see how that goes and then announce the tour.āā
It all comes just days after Princess revealed her plans to follow her dad into the music industry during a new episode of her reality show.
She said: āI love music, and Iāve been wanting to get into music for a while. I posted a few videos with dad when I was younger but when it comes to performing in front of a crowd or getting in the studio where thereās people, I just canāt.ā
After she was put through her paces by a vocal coach found by her dad, she admitted she struggled when it came to the dancing side of the role. And she was stunned to see her dad in action back in the day. As brother Junior showed off dad Peterās throwback video for his tune, Flava, Junior said: āGod heās ripped! Go on padre! Iāve got his genetics, I gotta get in the gym bro! Eight pack coming my way!ā
Junior also hinted he could follow in his parents footsteps and hit the reality TV scene. When asked about a potential reality TV appearance, Junior said: āStrictly seems fun but I think the main show that we would both want to do is, because we actually come from the show, is the jungle, Iām A Celebrity. Weāre jungle babies so weād go back to where it all started.ā Princess added: āIt would be crazy. Strictly I would do but I canāt dance. [It] Wouldnāt be the best.ā
