Sacked Radio 2 DJ Scott Mills has been dealt a further blow as yet another show featuring him has been scrapped. The 53-year-old was one of the stars taking part in this year’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer, alongside the likes of JoJo Siwa, Mark Wright, and Vicky Pattison. Following the news of his ignominious exit from the BBC over allegations relating to his “personal misconduct”, which was announced on Monday, March 30, there had been a question mark over his upcoming episode of the hugely popular baking show.

Now Channel 4 bosses have confirmed they are pulling the plug on his instalment of the show that was due to air on Sunday, April 18. This also means several of the other participating celebrities who feature in his episode will not be seen. “Having carefully considered the circumstances, we’ve taken the decision not to air the final episode of the 2026 series of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer, featuring Scott Mills.

“Acknowledging the seriousness of the accusations that have been made against Scott we don’t believe it would be appropriate to air the episode at this time.

“An alternative episode of Celebrity GBBO will go out in its place,” Channel 4 said in a statement.

This will come as a disappointment to fans, as the show is a special fundraising edition for Stand Up 2 Cancer, and other celebrities took part largely because it was for a good cause.

It is just the latest humiliation foisted on Mills in recent days. Last week the BBC also pulled a Top of the Pops double bill of episodes he presented.

On April 2 it was revealed a plaque in his honour had been removed after a decade on display. The plaque marking the “Scott Mills Bridge” at Fleet Services on the M3 motorway was officially unveiled in March 2016, following a light-hearted campaign on his radio show to get it named after him.

However, following the news he had been fired from the BBC, it disappeared. A driver who stopped at the service station noticed the plaque no longer bore the star’s name, according to Sell Us Your Story.

He’s also been replaced on Race Across The World’s spin-off show by DJ and former celebrity contestant Tyler West.
