In their latest appearance as a trio, Josh and Johannes joined Emma on her BBC Radio 2 Saturday lunchtime show, and together they played a quick-fire round of a game. The 50-year-old asked: “Favourite Latin dance?” and as Johannes, a fan-favourite pro, responded: “Cha Cha.” Josh seemingly copied the expert and remarked: “Cha Cha Cha,” as everybody burst into laughter. The former Big Brother presenter then probed: “Favourite Ballroom?” to which Johannes declared: “Waltz.”

Meanwhile, a confused Josh questioned: “Is Argentine Tango a ballroom?”
To which Johannes informed him: “It’s a speciality dance,” before giving him a quick rundown of which dances are in which category.
Emma then wondered how far they could push the limit and asked: “Do you think we’ll be able to get away with, if we don’t know the name of a dance, just going, ‘the twirly one?’”
Josh expressed: “I think our job, we’re not the experts, Emma, we’re the man and woman in the street.”

Despite the light-hearted element of the game, fans took to the Instagram comments with concern about Josh’s lack of knowledge, as one wrote: “Hope Josh ups his game.”
Another Instagram user echoed: “I like Josh as a comedian but as a dance presenter? NO.”
A third commented: “No!! I’ll give it a go but I don’t think I’ll be watching Strictly very much at all now. What a shame.”
“Everyone is asking why Josh,” said a fourth.
However, others looked forward to seeing them on screens as one viewer gushed: “Love this trio.”
When the line-up was announced, Josh also shared his excitement and said: “Dancing the Charleston dressed as a penguin for the 2024 Christmas Special of Strictly remains my career high point, so I am giddy with excitement, honoured and a little overawed to be given the chance to step into the biggest shoes in television.”
