Coronation Street favourite, Sam Aston, has announced he is set to become a father for the fourth time. The 32-year-old, best known for playing Chesney Brown on the cobbles, revealed the happy news alongside wife Briony Aston. The couple are already parents to Sonny, five, Daisy, four, and two-year-old Hazel.
Briony shared the pregnancy announcement in a playful Instagram video showing their children being pulled across the floor by Sam before youngest daughter Hazel appeared clutching an ultrasound scan picture. Text across the clip read: “Here we go again… baby Aston #4.” A Christmas tree emoji appeared to hint at the baby’s expected due date later this year.

Sam and Briony married in 2019 after first meeting as teenagers.
While Sam has become one of Corrie’s longest-serving younger stars after joining the ITV soap in 2008, Briony works as a birth doula, supporting women during pregnancy and childbirth.

Following the announcement, Briony revealed she plans to step back from work later in the year as she prepares for the new arrival.
Sharing an update online, she explained she had closed bookings for in-person doula support from mid-October onwards.
She wrote: “I’ve been at a couple of births while heavily pregnant in the past and I’ve found it’s just not practical with a huge bump.”
