The couple appeared together in an Instagram video, telling followers that they had not spoken publicly for much of the past two years, not because they had nothing to say, but because the timing had never felt right. This time, they said, felt different.
Baldoni, 42, acknowledged that there was “so much to say,” while Emily explained that finding the right words had been difficult. The pair made clear they were not going to address every part of the dispute in one sitting, but hinted that more may come later.
Their message arrived as the ongoing fallout from the It Ends With Us controversy continues to draw attention. According to the report, Lively has sought millions in legal fees connected to Baldoni’s failed defamation case, while representatives for Lively had not yet responded to the latest comments at the time of publication.

She also appeared to criticise the way the controversy had been framed as a wider fight for women, saying there was “so much to unpack.”
Baldoni then spoke about the emotional toll on his family, saying they were healing but that healing was not a straight line. He said the situation had forced them to rethink what was real and what mattered most, pointing to their children, family, friends, community and faith.
The couple also thanked supporters who had stood by them online. Baldoni said that when he and Emily felt they did not have a voice, many people had spoken up for them, adding that even a simple thank you did not feel big enough.
At the centre of the story remains the legal battle that followed Lively’s claims against Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios production company.
