🏆 Princess Kate Beams As She Hands Jannik Sinner Wimbledon Trophy With Wales Family Watching

Princess Kate brought another unforgettable royal moment to Centre Court as she beamed while presenting Jannik Sinner with the Wimbledon winner’s trophy after a gripping men’s singles final.

The Princess of Wales, Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, looked radiant in a flowing green dress as she watched the showdown between Italy’s Sinner and Germany’s Alexander Zverev from the Royal Box. Beside her were Prince William and two of their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, while Prince Louis was not in attendance.

After losing the first set, Sinner fought back to defeat Zverev 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 and claim his second consecutive Wimbledon title. The 24-year-old Italian became just the 10th man in the Open Era to retain the men’s title at the All England Club, sealing a dramatic victory in just under four hours.

Kate could not stop smiling as she stepped onto the presentation area, shook Sinner’s hand and handed him the golden trophy while thousands looked on. The moment carried all the polish of a classic Wimbledon finale: a champion soaking up the applause, a packed Centre Court rising to the occasion and the Princess of Wales once again at the heart of the ceremony.

It was also a special family day out for the Waleses. George and Charlotte were seen watching the action closely with their parents, cooling down with a handheld fan as the temperature reached 29C. The young royals briefly left the Royal Box before returning with woven sunhats, with George later spotted laughing in bright orange sunglass.

Kate’s appearance came one day after she presented the Venus Rosewater Dish to Linda Noskova following the women’s final. Across the weekend, she gave royal fans a run of memorable Wimbledon moments, from dazzling in red for the women’s final to glowing in green for the men’s championship match.

Earlier on Sunday, Kate also shook hands with British semi-finalist Arthur Fery, whose fairytale Wimbledon run had captured national attention. Fery, who became the first wildcard to reach the semi-finals in 25 years before losing to Zverev, revealed he had spoken with the Princess and even offered to hit with the Wales children if they ever wanted to play tennis.

The young British player said Kate congratulated him on his remarkable tournament and wished him luck for the rest of the year. He also said the Princess had given him a birthday card as he turned 24 on finals day, adding another personal touch to an already remarkable Wimbledon fortnight.

For Kate, the tournament has long been one of her most cherished public traditions. A keen tennis fan herself, she has often handed trophies to champions and taken her seat in the Royal Box for the biggest moments of the Championships. This year, her return carried extra warmth, especially after she had also spent time on outside courts, greeted fans in the queue and celebrated the sport’s younger generation.

As Sinner lifted the trophy and the Wales family watched on, the final offered a perfect blend of elite sport, royal family charm and summer spectacle. For many fans, Kate’s beaming presentation moment was the image that sealed another unforgettable Wimbledon chapter.
