🎄😢 Coleen Nolan’s emotional Christmas reflection reveals quiet loneliness and deep family shifts, moving Loose Women viewers to tears

Coleen Nolan shared a heartbreaking Christmas confession as she reflected on a number of big changes in her family on Thursday’s episode of Loose Women.

The 60-year-old returned to the panel on the latest instalment of the ITV show alongside Charlene White, 45, Brenda Edwards, 56, and Gloria Hunniford, 85.

With Christmas just around the corner, the Loose Women discussed how prepared they feel about the looming festivities.

Coleen has already put her decorations up, but said: ‘It was the loneliest I’ve felt.’

Charlene asked her why, to which Coleen said: ‘Because it’s the first Christmas ever, ever, I’ve put the decorations up on my own.

‘I was really lonely, it was the first time I thought “Oh all my kids have their family”.

With Christmas just around the corner, the Loose Women discussed how prepared they feel about the looming festivities, and Coleen said: ‘It was the loneliest I’ve felt’

‘Not to say I couldn’t have phoned any of them and said “Come round!” but they were doing their stuff.

‘They’ve all become new parents. I thought, I need to let them have that moment with their family.

‘But honestly, it looks like my Christmas tree has been vomited on. Normally Ciara does it, you see. She’s got an eye for it. I was like “That’ll do there. That’ll do there”.

‘But I felt really lonely.’

Charlene then told her that it will change in the future, saying: ‘Your grandchildren and stuff, and as they start getting older, your Christmases will change and they will become the centre.

‘They’ll help you put up the Christmas decorations.’

Back in October it was revealed that Coleen became a grandmother for the third time after her daughter Ciara gave birth to a baby boy.

Ciara’s baby is Coleen’s third grandchild, as she is already a grandmother to her son, Shane Jr’s daughter, Amelia, who was born in 2016, and to her younger son, Jake’s baby boy, who was born last year.

Coleen is currently single, but has previously been married to Shane Richie, 61, who she shares her two sons with.

She was also married to Ray Fensome, 67, who she shares her daughter with.

She also recently dated Michael Jones or three years, but split last year.

It comes after Coleen left her Loose Women co-stars lost for words as she revealed the X-rated way she spices up her love life in a major overshare on Tuesday’s show.

A clip of Coleen and fellow Loose lady Christine Lampard, 46, was played out as they discussed watching pornography with their other halves during a recent episode of the show’s podcast Loose Women: Just Between Us.

‘Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it,’ Coleen told Christine, and she then went on to confess that she would recommend it to anyone.

The camera then panned back in the studio and Coleen said: ‘I really am my worst enemy, aren’t I? I just can’t shut up. I forget there are people out there…’

Ruth went on to ask her: ‘Do you think that it is a good thing?’

Coleen said: ‘I think the thing is, she said I want to spice up my sex life, my husband said “Oh let’s try and watch porn together”. She’s like “Oh it will make me cringe!”

‘Obviously the thoughts of that initially, when you’re in the moment, makes you cringe.

‘It’s like now, women later on, like myself, go “How can you date people? The thoughts of them kissing me…” I couldn’t do that now. You can’t if you think about it like that, but in the heat of the moment, it doesn’t matter.

‘None of it matters…’

Addressing the elephant in the room, Coleen picked up her cup of tea and continued: ‘Yes, I have.’

Mariella then chimed in how she understands how they think it could be awkward watching it with a partner, to which Coleen said: ‘No it’s not.’

She also confessed that she hopes porn movies have got better over time, to which Coleen replied: ‘Oh they have…’

Janet chimed in: ‘I have to ask you Coleen, were you fully clothed when you watched the porn?’

Janet continued: ‘You’re already halfway there, you’ve taken your kit off… ‘

At the end of the conversation, Ruth said: ‘I say whatever floats your boat, Col.’

Mariella said: ‘Yeah but also doing it on your own is quite a good thing.

‘It’s less embarrassing.’

But Coleen didn’t agree and shot back: ‘Pointless!’

It’s not the first time that Coleen has opened up about her sex life on the show.

Last month the panel were discussing if they wanted a relationship like their parents, to which Ruth said that hers would always hold hands and compliment each other.

Coleen said: ‘I’m so jealous of that. I’m just looking for someone for six minutes.

The panel burst into laughter and Ruth said: ‘Oh no she’s off again. She’s off again. Time for a break.’
