Sarah Ferguson ‘to become a real thorn in the crown for King Charles and other royals’
Sarah Ferguson, who lost her title of the Duchess of York last year, has faced intense criticism after the release of millions of documents related to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein
Sarah Ferguson is likely “to become a real thorn in the crown” for King Charles, Prince William and other members of the Royal Family, it is claimed today.
Ms Ferguson, who last year lost her title of the Duchess of York after the release of millions of documents related to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein, is said to be weighing a controversial £1.3million return to the spotlight as she explores a television documentary about her life.
But it is thought this could uncover more allegations around the likes of the Epstein files and lead to scrutiny for the Royal Family, including for the monarch. An insider said: “She and Prince Andrew had an open arrangement, so if she goes down, they all [several other royals] go down. She’s not as stupid as she makes out, and she’s been diligent about holding on to evidence and memorabilia. Sarah’s going to become a real thorn in the crown for King Charles III, Prince William, and especially Andrew.”
Many well-kept secrets about some royal family members may come to light if Ms Ferguson, 66, agrees to the interview, it is understood. Sky News reports the mum of two, currently hiding at a luxury ski chalet in Austria which costs £2000 a night, is indeed ready to speak out about her connection to Epstein.
Fergie strenuously denies any wrongdoing. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s has vehemently and repeatedly denied all the allegations of sexual assault Virginia made against him or any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.
But Ms Ferguson is claimed to have felt “‘incredibly betrayed” by members of the Royal Family amid the scrutiny. The source, speaking to Sky News, added: “Sarah’s come out of shock and is now furious at what’s happened to her life. She wants to sit down and tell her side of her association with Epstein — and what she knew in hindsight about Andrew’s association. And she’s got a lot to tell.”
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor lost his royal titles and stepped back from public life last year following the release of millions of documents related to paedophile financier Epstein. While he now resides in Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate, Ms Ferguson’s whereabouts were a mystery until this week when she was snapped in Austria.
It is understood the author, who lived with Mr Mountbatten-Windsor for decades despite their divorce, has no immediate plans to leave the chalet abroad. The resort, believed to be a small village, “has got everything you’d want for a lengthy stay,” according to an insider who spoke this week.
