Ant and Dec share David Haye’s gleeful seven word response to igniting I’m A Celeb chaos
Ant and Dec have had their say on the I’m A Celebrity live final chaos and revealed what David Haye told them in the car park after the show
The I’m A Celebrity final exploded into chaos on Friday night and now hosts Ant and Dec have had their say on the fallout. Viewers watched on as Jimmy Bullard and David Haye turned on Adam Thomas and screamed that he did not deserve to win.
During the show, Jimmy and David said repeatedly that fans had not seen the real Adam and urged Ant and Dec to share footage of his so-called ‘abusive and intimidating’ outburst following a trial.
Sinitta and Gemma Collins were both scene walking off stage while images later showed what appeared to be a tense showdown in the car park between Ant and Dec and Jimmy. The presenters have now used their podcast to speak out on what really went down after the cameras stopped rolling.
After leaving the studio separately to Dec, Ant said on the pair’s Hangin’ Out podcast that he went first He said: “I saw two people standing in the car park. David Haye and Jimmy Bullard. And I thought ‘Oh, God, how’s your luck!?’
“So anyway, I went up to David Haye and he went ‘How brilliant was that? Wasn’t that great?’ I went well… It was certainly talk about TV, I wouldn’t call it great but anyway we had a laugh and we were cool.
“And then I’ve walked off and seen Jimmy Bullard and I just shook his hand and I was like ‘look after yourself’ and he was like ‘yeah, yeah cheers, cheers, cheers’. So there was no confrontation. He wasn’t shouting at me, I wasn’t shouting at him. I wasn’t flanked by two security guards as it said in the paper.
He added: “I saw Jimmy and went over to Jimmy, so there was no kind of arguments between us two in the car park.”
Having his say, Dec also revealed the comments he received after the show. He revealed David Haye said: “What about that then? Hope you get some good ratings for that one.”
Ant jumped in laughing: “See, he doesn’t care. That’s what he does. He’s a boxer. That’s his stock in trade. You know, calling out from the audience or at a boxing match you shout at your opponent.”
Dec admitted it’s a tactic normally used to sell pay-per-view events so it felt like a bit of a sporting moment for the star.
On Wednesday, Adam also had his say on the show, saying he wouldn’t have gone on for £10million if he knew how things would turn out. He says he felt exploited on the live show and his experience has tarnished the series for him and his family .
And he also admits he wishes bosses would have just shown the full fallout so people could see what happened instead of the drama that unfolded. Speaking to brothers Ryan and Scott Thomas on their The Thomas Bro’s podcast, Adam said: “I’m telling you the truth. This is exactly what happened and how it happened.
“Granted they never showed the full clip of what happened between me and Jimmy because I was f***ing saying the c word a lot and the f bomb. That’s the only thing that I’ll hold my hands up and say that happened, like, I I wish they did show it.”
