By the time Louise Thompson typed the words “All I want for 2026… is a baby!” across a family photo, she already knew the internet would erupt. But behind that hopeful caption lies a story so raw, so frightening and so fragile, it feels almost impossible that she’s ready to share it.
The former Made In Chelsea star, now 35, has revealed that growing her family won’t follow any ordinary path — calling her fertility journey “complicated” and admitting she’s terrified of what lies ahead.

“I Nearly Died Bringing Leo Into The World…”

In 2021, Louise almost lost her life during the birth of her son Leo-Hunter.
An emergency caesarean spiralled into a medical nightmare as she lost 12 and a half litres of blood. The near-death ordeal left her with PTSD, post-natal anxiety, a diagnosis of Lupus, Asherman’s syndrome, a second haemorrhage — and even a stoma bag.
This wasn’t just a traumatic birth. It was survival.
And for a long time, Louise couldn’t even imagine another pregnancy.
A Family Dream She Was Told Might Never Happen

Doctors previously warned that Louise may never be able to carry another baby due to the devastating damage done to her body.
So when she admitted this week that she and fiancé Ryan Libbey are finally feeling ready to expand their family, fans were left stunned.
“I feel afraid about the future because the way in which we are going to be able to grow our family feels a little complicated,” she confessed.
Then she paused.
“Maybe I should call it… a-typical.”
Hope, fear, excitement — all tangled together.
“I’m Not Blissfully Pregnant This Time”

Louise also opened up about a heartbreaking miscarriage she suffered in 2020 — a loss she only shared once she was safely pregnant again.
Looking back, she admits she was scared.
“I wanted to post from a place of hope rather than fear. In all honesty, that was a little cowardly.”
This time, it’s different.
“Today I do not sit in that camp. I am not blissfully pregnant.”
Instead, she’s choosing honesty over comfort — and inviting the world into the uncertainty with her.
The Year Ryan Went Into “Survival Mode”

Behind Louise’s strength is Ryan — the man who once described that first year as nothing short of survival.
After Leo’s birth, Louise was placed on suicide watch. Crisis teams visited regularly. She was mentally checked out, barely able to recognise the baby in the room.
“It was absolutely terrifying,” Ryan later admitted. “She’d lost the fight.”
For months, he watched the woman he loved disappear into trauma and shock — trying to keep their family afloat while quietly falling apart himself.
A Christmas Eve In Hospital — Again

Just weeks ago, Louise spent Christmas Eve back in hospital amid her ongoing health battle, publicly thanking the NHS for their care.
Another reminder that for this family, the past is never far away.
Yet somehow, against every fear, they’ve reached a new milestone.
“This has taken an awful lot of emotional and physical work,” she wrote. “It feels like a BIG milestone for us and something to be celebrated.”
A Journey With No Map… Only Courage

There are no guarantees. No simple plan. No certainty of what the next chapter will look like.
But there is something else.
Hope.
And for the first time in years, Louise Thompson is daring to believe that hope might just be enough.
