During Wednesday’s (May 27) episode of the popular BBC chat show, JB Gill and Angellica Bell were back on our screens, welcoming a stellar line-up of guests to the iconic sofa.
The duo were joined by Rivals co-stars Danny Dyer and Emily Atack, who have recently joined forces for brand new ITV quiz show ‘Nobody’s Fool’, where bluffing is very much part of the game. Also joining them was Anna Maxwell Martin, who spoke about how viewers will see a strikingly different side to her as she takes on her most villainous role yet in ‘Star City’.
However, before JB and Angellica could get stuck into the show, Matt teased that he had some “exciting” news to share, reports The Mirror.

Eager to hear more, Angellica said: “But first it’s Watchdog, So Matt, tell us about this exciting news you have”
Matt announced: “I’m so pleased to announce, we are welcoming two new Watchdog presenters to our film team. Documentary maker and from BBC’s Asian Network the brilliant Amber Haque.”
The television presenter added: “As well as Scam Interceptors presenter Nick Stapleton, who is of course carrying on the legacy of his parents, Watchdog Legends John Stapleton and Lynn Faulds Wood.”
He added: “Nick and Amber and two of the most talented investigative journalists around and Nicki and I and the rest of the team are so thrilled that they are joining us.”
Nick made his debut report on the programme that very evening, uncovering fraudulent adverts on social media designed to lure unsuspecting consumers into bogus investments.

The new presenter acknowledged there is a “real poignancy” in joining the team, as his parents, who fronted the show from 1986 to 1933, are no longer alive.
Elsewhere during the programme, Matt revealed that his BBC show Doorbell Detectives is set to return to screens next week, airing immediately after Morning Live.
He explained: “So excited. Monday morning straight after Morning Live we are back looking at crimes caught on doorbell footage including one shocking case where a thief broke into a bungalow, while the elderly owners slept, completely unaware.”
The investigative journalist continued: “It was only until their doorbell camera footage alerted their daughter of the overnight intrusion. Then she raced there to try and find out what had happened.”
