Emmerdale is preparing another dramatic week in the Dales, and the new spoiler pictures suggest several families are about to be pushed into chaos.
At the centre of the most disturbing twist is Charity Dingle, whose situation with Dr Todd becomes even more dangerous. Charity is already under pressure after failing to find the money needed to pay Todd off. Overwhelmed and unable to see a way out, she turns to alcohol before confronting the devious doctor and daring her to expose the secret.
For a moment, it appears Todd may back down. Entertainment Daily reports that Todd is unable to publicly destroy Sarah’s life, creating what seems like a temporary truce between her and Charity. But that relief does not last. Todd’s true nature soon surfaces again, and Charity is subjected to an assault, leaving the storyline heading into much darker territory.
This could become a major turning point for Charity. She is one of Emmerdale’s toughest survivors, but Todd appears to know exactly where to hurt her — through Sarah, through secrets and through the fear of everything being exposed. Charity may have talked her way out of danger before, but this time the threat is becoming physical, personal and impossible to ignore.
Elsewhere, the Dingles face another emotional storm as Lydia begins to believe Kim’s suspicion that Sam and Laurel are having an affair. Kim sees Sam sneaking out of Laurel’s house and shares her theory with Lydia, who later walks into the Woolpack and sees Laurel and Sam hugging. The pub falls silent as Lydia confronts Sam, leaving Laurel mortified and Sam forced into an impossible explanation.
The truth, however, is far less scandalous than Lydia fears. Sam has reportedly been taking dance lessons, but by the time the misunderstanding explodes in public, the damage may already be done. In soapland, even an innocent secret can look like betrayal when it is discovered at the worst possible moment.
Ross and Laurel also face fresh trouble. Ross wants to take Laurel out, but she becomes uneasy that he is trying to move their relationship forward too quickly. Nicola cannot understand why Laurel is so worried, but Laurel eventually ends things with Ross before the situation becomes too serious. Ross is left hurt, setting up more emotional fallout.
Meanwhile, Caleb Miligan is caught in one of the week’s most shocking twists. After receiving a call from someone he believes is Steph asking for money, Caleb gives Billy his account password and tells him to secretly transfer £5,000 for a London flat. But Steph is actually in Thailand with her new boyfriend — and the voice on the call was not really hers.
The scam is soon traced back to Archie Breckle, who has been using an AI recording of Steph’s voice. Kerry becomes suspicious after delivering a computer Archie bought with Caleb’s money, then catches him with the AI copy and realises exactly what he has done.
The twist adds a modern edge to the week’s drama. Caleb may be sharp in business, but even he has been fooled by technology and family emotion. It is not just a financial scam — it is a betrayal that could leave him furious and humiliated.
