Katie Price’s new husband Lee Andrews has finally explained why he heavily edits his social media photos — after unfiltered images of what he really looks like left fans baffled and sparked intense online scrutiny.

The businessman, 43, who married Katie Price, 47, in a whirlwind Dubai wedding last week, has been accused by followers of dramatically airbrushing his appearance — with some claiming his filtered photos barely resemble reality.

Recent images shared on Lee’s Facebook page show him with a darker beard, smooth bronzed skin, sharply sculpted features and noticeably whiter teeth. But when compared to older, unfiltered photos — including images from his LinkedIn profile — the difference is striking.

Fans were quick to point out that his natural appearance appears far softer and more understated than the glossy version he presents online.

“It’s just bad lighting,” Lee insists

In a video filmed on the day he married Katie — but only posted days later — Lee attempted to shut down the speculation.

Blaming poor lighting conditions, he said:
“It’s not as bright as this. I put a filter on because it’s such a dingy day.”

However, his explanation has done little to quiet critics — especially as attention has shifted to deeper concerns surrounding his lifestyle, credibility… and now, his home.

Identical proposals and exes speaking out

Katie stunned fans earlier this month when she tied the knot for the fourth time — just days after announcing her split from JJ Slater and barely a week after getting engaged to Lee.

The romance was quickly overshadowed by revelations that Lee’s proposal to Katie was identical to the one he made to his ex-fiancée Alana Percival just four months earlier — in the exact same spot at Dubai’s Burj Al Arab.

Alana has since continued to mock what she calls Lee’s “copy-and-paste” proposal, sharing side-by-side images of both engagements on Instagram.

“My version… couldn’t get more identical,” she wrote.

She has also publicly warned Katie to “run for the hills,” claiming she has proof Lee is a “lying swindler” and alleging she was contacted by other ex-partners with similar stories.

And now… the ‘luxury home’ under scrutiny

But the controversy hasn’t stopped at filtered selfies and recycled proposals.

Fresh questions are now being asked about Lee’s much-talked-about “luxury home” — a property he has previously referenced while describing his lifestyle.

Paparazzi images of the house have now surfaced — and the reality appears to fall sharply short of the polished image Lee presents online.

Rather than a pristine, high-end residence, the property is seen surrounded by overflowing bins, scattered rubbish and visible signs of neglect — a sight that immediately set social media alight.

Almost instantly, viewers began saying the same thing.

Many drew comparisons to Katie Price’s own highly publicised property struggles in recent years, with commenters noting uncomfortable similarities between the two.

“This feels painfully familiar,” one user wrote.
“Same chaos, same exaggeration — just a different house,” another added.

Others questioned whether Lee’s online image — from filtered photos to claims of luxury — had ever matched reality at all.

More allegations surface

Adding further fuel to the fire, another ex-partner, Crystal Janke, has alleged Lee persuaded her to hand over £123,000 to invest in his business, promising a £1million return — claims Lee strongly denies.
The Sun reports police are aware of the allegations.

Lee has dismissed all accusations, admitting to a relationship with Alana but insisting he has done nothing wrong and denying any wrongdoing with Crystal.

Despite his attempts to clarify, insiders claim Katie’s family are deeply concerned about the speed of the relationship. It is reported they were left in the dark about the wedding and are now preparing to have a “serious talk” with her.

Image vs reality

With edited photos, duplicated proposals, overlapping timelines and now unflattering images of the home he once implied was luxurious, critics say the gap between image and reality is becoming harder to ignore.

As one observer bluntly put it:
“When the filters come off — everything else starts to unravel.”
