Sarah Beeny emotionally admitted she now feels like she has “a whole life to live” after beating breast cancer
TV presenter Sarah Beeny has opened up emotionally about life after breast cancer, admitting she now feels like she has “a whole life to live” following her successful treatment battle.
The beloved property expert, 54, was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2022 and began chemotherapy shortly afterwards. Her diagnosis carried even more emotional weight because her own mother died from the disease when Sarah was just 10 years old.
Now, years after being given the all clear, the Channel 4 star says the terrifying chapter feels strangely distant — and she’s determined not to let cancer become the thing people remember her for.

Sarah reflected candidly on her recovery, saying: “I was lucky. I was fortunate to get diagnosed in time and my treatment was successful. I have a whole life to live now.”
The presenter, best known for shows including Property Ladder and New Life In The Country, revealed that cancer once represented her greatest fear.
She explained: “It feels like a lifetime ago now. Cancer was the big bad wolf to me and now I’ve had it.”

Despite the trauma of chemotherapy, hair loss and the emotional strain of treatment, Sarah has made it clear she refuses to allow the illness to define her identity.
In a powerful statement, she added: “If you had to sum up the 10 things I’m about, cancer wouldn’t be on the list.”
Sarah previously documented parts of her cancer journey publicly, including shaving her head during chemotherapy and later donating her hair to charity. Fans praised her honesty throughout the process, with many calling her strength and positivity inspirational.

The broadcaster has since returned to work and family life, appearing happier and healthier as she embraces what she describes as a completely new chapter after surviving the disease that haunted her childhood for decades.
