The blonde stunner dropped a major hint last month that she had signed up for the ITV2 dating show.
Ella, 25, who has been on the Essex-based reality show since 2019, is single after her relationship with Dan Edgar fizzled out last year.
In a bid to find love again, there has been rumours that Ella was keen to appear on Love Island, and it wouldn’t be the first time that a Towie star entered the villa.
In 2024, Towie legend Joey Essex shocked fans when he appeared as a bombshell, to win over his then girlfriend Grace Jackson.
Now, ITV bosses have revealed if they have the same trick up their sleeve when it comes to bringing a celebrity into the villa as a bombshell.
Speaking to The Sun and other press direct from the villa, Executive Producer Lewis Evans said: ” A few people might have said that they’re interested, but no.”
While Commissioning Editor, Amanda Starvi shared: “No – We’re pretty open-minded when it comes to casting.
“You never want to close anything off.
“So I’d say we’re pretty open-minded.
“But it’s just getting the right person at the right moment, and Joey [Essex] was that person.
“And partly because, obviously, his ex-girlfriend Grace had been cast. So it made sense.”
It comes after Ella dropped a hint that she was set to star on the show.
In a carousel of four snaps, Ella posed by the iconic Love Island neon sign that reads ‘love’ at ITV studios.
The star opted to wear a pink ensemble of a zip up jacket and sky high heels for the photoshoot.
She finished the look off by adding loose waves to her hair and a pair of large glasses.
If the hint couldn’t get more clear, Ella pointed at the sign using a pen.
Captioning the post, Ella wrote: “where next …? serving looks, drama, and all the iconic moments you guys live for.”
The post comes after The Sun exclusively revealed that Ella was teasing a return to the villa in February.
When pressed if talks have been had with show bosses, Ella coyly said: “Let’s just not say too much. We’re in the year of the horse so that means new doors are opening.
“I’m just very excited to see what 2026 brings.”
If she were to make a bombshell arrival, Ella believes it would be a match made in heaven.
“I think that’s a situation that I would be able to thrive in and I’d love every single minute of that,” she said.
“And also to meet new people, make new friendships, meet new girlies that we could form lovely friendships with.”
Though she’s only 25, Ella Rae is a reality TV veteran, having made her Towie debut eight years ago.
Last year she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and showed a more vulnerable side to her character.
She has no regrets about her TV career to date and thinks she’s been such a mainstay on the box because she’s not afraid to show the real her.
“I think taking from my experience in Big Brother, if I was to go into any reality TV show, I don’t think I’d do anything different because at the end of the day, you’re living the moment and you can’t help how you feel in that moment either,” she said.
