Influencer and businesswoman Lorna Luxe has shared a heartbreaking update that stopped her followers in their tracks — revealing that her husband, John Andrews, is now “extremely unwell” as he continues his terminal cancer battle.
In a raw and emotional Instagram statement, the 43-year-old explained she has made the painful decision to cancel a charity event this weekend because she can no longer leave her husband’s side.
“I am so sorry,” she wrote simply — four words that carried the weight of everything she’s facing.
A Decision Made With a Heavy Heart
The cancelled event was an archive charity sale organised by Lorna’s fashion brand L.A. Space, due to take place this Saturday at The Alan Hotel in Manchester. The event was set to raise vital funds for Maggie’s and The Meath Epilepsy Charity.
In a statement shared with her 1.6 million followers, Lorna wrote:
“It is with a very heavy heart that I have to share that we must unfortunately postpone our upcoming Charity Sale.
John is currently extremely unwell, and right now it isn’t the right time for me to be away from his side.
This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but I know it’s the right thing to do.”
She confirmed all tickets will remain valid for a future date, with proceeds still going to the charities — a reminder that even in crisis, others remain on her mind.
A Battle That Has Turned Terminal
John, 64 — who is 21 years older than Lorna — has been battling stage four adrenal cancer since April 2023.
Last month, Lorna bravely revealed that the disease has now spread and that treatment is no longer an option.
Before Christmas, John was rushed back to hospital with organ failure, following complications from chemotherapy, and later developed sepsis. Doctors warned Lorna to “prepare for the worst.”
Against the odds, he recovered enough to return home for Christmas — but the reality remains devastating.
In May 2024, his cancer tragically returned and spread to his brain.
“I’m Probably Going to Be a Widow in My 40s”
Lorna has been painfully honest about the emotional toll of living on borrowed time.
In a previous interview, she admitted:
“Fundamentally, I’m probably going to be a widow at some point in my 40s — and that’s a really scary place to be for any woman.”
She revealed that she and John are “running at a million miles an hour”, trying to create memories while he still feels well enough — taking each day as it comes, refusing to think too far ahead.
“I don’t make long-term plans,” she said quietly.
“We know we’re on a timeline.”
Love, Loyalty — And Staying Put
Despite her global success, Lorna made it clear that nothing matters more right now than being present.
Friends say she has barely left John’s side in recent days — prioritising care, comfort and quiet moments together over everything else.
