Kelvin Fletcher and Wife Liz Share Heartbreaking Update from Their Family Farm

Kelvin and Liz Fletcher were left feeling emotional after a vet delivered some heartbreaking news about one of their cows in the upcoming episode of Fletcher’s Family Farm

Kelvin and Liz Fletcher received devastating news in the forthcoming episode of Fletcher’s Family Farm, set to broadcast on Sunday. The former Emmerdale actor was informed by a veterinarian that one of their cherished cows had lost her calf

It proved a mixed blessing for the pair, as they simultaneously learnt that their other cow was expecting.

Prior to the vet’s arrival, Liz confessed to feeling anxious. She remarked, “We’ve got the cows in. We’re going to pregnancy test them.

“It’s a little bit nerve-racking, whether it’s worked, whether he’s done his job, or whether he’s just been rolling around the field having a nice time. I’m hoping he’s been busy.”

Cherry was first to undergo scanning, and as the veterinarian began his examination, he confirmed, “It’s a bit nerve-racking. Yeah. So I’m just scanning around both sides of a uterus, and there is a calf in there,” reports the Express.

“Yes,” Kelvin grinned as the vet proceeded, “So you’ve got one pregnancy there, all looking healthy. That’s a healthy calf there.”

Addressing her children, Liz announced, “She is having a baby.”

The veterinarian informed them that the calf was approximately seven weeks along and measured three centimeters.

Kelvin observed, “Have a quick look there, guys, what a special moment to share with your kids.”

Nevertheless, when Ruby’s examination commenced, the vet brought heartbreaking news to the farming family. “Okay, not quite so good news now, Kelvin, I’m afraid,” the vet revealed.

“Strangely, she actually seems to have a uterus infection, which is most likely, she has been pregnant and she had a miscarriage.

“Oh no,” Liz responded emotionally as the vet continued, “So we’re gonna have to give her an injection to clear that out. The longer you leave it untreated, the higher the chance of them not getting in calf, basically.”

Kelvin expressed, “I mean, it’s disappointing. So, yeah, it’s a shame. The main priority is to get it sorted and treated. So we’re gonna give her an injection now that’ll treat her.

“There is some good news. The miscarriage does prove that Ruby is fertile, and once recovered, we’ll be able to run her with a bull.”
