The broadcaster ripped into the Labour Government during an appearance on Question Time.
Piers Morgan blasts โmost shambolic governmentโ
Piers Morgan blasted โthe most shambolic Government I have ever seenโ as he called for Sir ๐๐ฆ๐ช๐ณ๐๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ณ to โgoโ in the wake of the local elections. The broadcaster hit out at the Prime Minister for a โseries of broken promises and U-turns on an unprecedented scaleโ
His att@ck came during an appearance on the BBCโs Question Time after Labourโs electoral drubbing. He said of Sir Keir: โOf course, he should go. Letโs be honest, this has been an absolute shambles, a shambles.โ
Turning to the audience, Morgan asked: โLetโs do a quick test โ who here feels better off under Labour?โ

When no one put their hands up or called out, Morgan went on: โNobody, not one of you.
โYet they came into power two years ago with a thumping majority and all of this talk of change and hope.

โTheyโd had 14 years to think about what they would do if they came into power. And what did they do? Day one, ๐๐ฆ๐ช๐ณ๐๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ณ says things are going to get worse before they get better, well he wasnโt kidding, we should have taken him at his word then.
โSince then weโve had a series of broken promises and U-turns on an unprecedented scale. Itโs almost like every policy initiative Labour has come up with theyโve immediately done a screeching U-turn when the public has gone what is this nonsense.
โItโs been in my lengthy period in the media this has been the most shambolic Government I have ever seen.
โThat is why you have now Reform surging around the country. I give them credit; in a few years, theyโve done this, itโs an amazing achievement.
โBut the difficult part for them will come now because I donโt think people are voting for Reformโs plethora of policies because we donโt know most of them.
โBut we also know that they are a product of persistently failing Governments going back nearly two decades. Youโre seeing the same with the emergence of the Greens.โ
It comes after Thursdayโs local elections saw Labour lose hundreds of councillors in England and suffer humiliation in Wales and Scotland.
The PM has vowed to listen to voters but refused to shift โleft or rightโ despite pressure to change course and backbench calls for a new leader following the mauling.
