Emmerdale viewers have uncovered the true identity of Kammy Hadiq’s mysterious father — and it turns out to be a former village icon.
Kammy (Shebz Miah) made his soap debut last year and wasted little time settling into life in the Dales, even landing a job at Cain Dingle‘s (Jeff Hordley) garage.
The character has also featured prominently in several major storylines during his time on the show. Towards the end of 2025, it became apparent that Kammy had developed feelings for Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).
Despite spending time together, Kammy and Belle ultimately decided they were better suited as friends, concluding that a romantic spark simply wasn’t there.
Yet fast forward to this week, and Belle and Kammy were once again exchanging flirtatious glances, with Belle stepping in to lend a hand at the garage after Kammy struggled to cope with the workload, reports the Daily Star.

Following some gentle encouragement from his mates Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) and Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), Kammy plucked up the courage to ask Belle out on a date — and she said yes.
While Kammy has firmly established himself as a fan favourite, little has been revealed about his family background. However, viewers are now firmly convinced he shares a connection with a former Emmerdale resident.
Speculating online about Kammy’s paternity, fans believe his father could be none other than Nikhil Sharma (Rik Makarem), who arrived in the village back in 2009 alongside brother Jai (Chris Bisson). He swiftly became a beloved figure on the soap, featuring in numerous landmark storylines — from shocking affairs to the heartbreaking death of wife Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams).

Nikhil initially departed the village in 2013 following Gennie’s death, but made a return in 2015 after his brother Jai found himself in difficulty. He subsequently left once more a year later in 2016.
However, with fans speculating he could be Kammy’s secret father, viewers believe he might stage a comeback. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page: “I’m loving Kammy. They need to bring his family in, we want to know more.”
Another contributor added: “I think his dad could be Nikhil, Jai’s brother.” A third agreed: “Yes, bring him back as well.” One more wrote: “I always liked Nikhil.
