Ant McPartlin has caused a stir with his best friend Dec Donnelly after revealing some very personal details about his relationship with wife Anne-Marie Corbett. The pair were discussing Harry Styles’ new album, Kiss All The Time Disco Occasionally, when Ant made a comment that left Dec visibly uncomfortable.
During their podcast, Hanging Out, Ant casually admitted, “I do kiss a lot though. I do like kissing. It’s one of the things to do.” He continued to talk about his love of kissing and how great it is, referencing his wife Anne-Marie. “My wife, the same person. I’m not going around just kissing loads of people,” he added.
Dec, clearly put off by the comment, scrunched up his face and joked, “Thought you were gonna stick one on us there.” But Ant wasn’t finished. He went on to explain how much he enjoys kissing, saying, “Kissing’s great, isn’t it? Think of the first kiss you ever had, and the kisses got better as you got older.”
Dec, however, wasn’t as thrilled with the topic, responding, “I find this a bit icky. Just keep it for the bedroom.” Despite his friend’s discomfort, Ant pressed on, continuing to gush about the joys of kissing, which led Dec to remark, “Keep it for the kitchen or wherever you do it but don’t broadcast it to everybody!”
This amusing exchange came after Ant and Dec recently revealed they would never host the BRIT Awards again, citing frustrations with the chaotic nature of the event and a rumored “beef” with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The duo, who have hosted the prestigious awards show three times in the past, shared their reasoning on the podcast, with Ant explaining that the hosting role often comes with a lot of challenges, such as stars backing out of interviews last minute.
“Everyone just wants to get drunk and have fun,” Ant said about the event. “You’re trying to wrangle the whole crowd and also present the TV show. It’s just not easy.”
Later, the conversation took a humorous turn as the pair jokingly discussed their so-called “beef” with Chris Martin, after Coldplay famously bailed on interviews during their hosting years. “This is the start of Ant’s beef with Chris Martin,” Dec quipped, to which Ant quickly replied, “I don’t have beef.”
