Katie Price chants about Dubai jail at rugby party as Lee Andrews leaves prison
A guest at a rugby party has claimed that Katie Price drunkenly shouted about ‘HMP Dubai’ during a drinking game, before her husband Lee Andrews left Al Awir Central prison
Katie Price caused chaos as she disrupted a rugby social event, by dancing on tables, interrupting speeches and screaming out ‘HMP Dubai’ in a nod to her wayward husband Lee Andrews, a fellow guest has claimed. The reality TV star attended Littlehampton Rugby Club’s end-of-season dinner presentation as the plus one of one of the players.
After joining guests at The Arun View Inn, Katie took part a drinking games and downed shots. A source at the party said she became “quite drunk and loud” with some people shouting at her to leave.
The mum-of-five allegedly caused upset when she yelled out “HMP Dubai” during the club president’s speech. Katie has recently hit headlines following the disappearance of her husband Lee Andrews, who was later found in the notorious Al Awir Central prison in Dubai but has since walked free. At the time of the rugby dinner, he was still in prison.
A guest told Sell Us Your Story: “She started shouting things that didn’t make sense, then she was shouting HMP Dubai. It got to the point where people were telling her to shut up. She was the only one shouting. Everyone else was quiet and she would randomly start shouting and the speaker had to stop. She did eventually pipe down.”
Katie was also said to have been “dancing at the table” before she left. A guest said the atmosphere remained light hearted despite Katie’s outbursts, though some were surprised by her alleged interruptions.
Just days ago, Lee walked free from Al Awir, almost a month on from when he went missing on May 14 and his wife raised the alarm. Lee vanished in May, and Katie initially claimed he had been “kidnapped” before he eventually resurfaced. The glamour model told fans that he had been in touch from prison in Dubai, where it was alleged that he had been arrested and detained on suspicion of espionage.
It was announced that Lee could be behind bars for several more weeks, but he has since left prison and is a free man once more. He reportedly needed £140,000 to be set free, but a source has said that Katie did not pay the fine. Lee was said to have celebrated his release by jumping straight on to Facetime to speak to his wife.
