Adam Thomasā twin āso angryā as he speaks out on Iām A Celebrity row with David Haye
It comes as the actor spoke out and admitted he had been ābrokenā by former boxer David Haye during Iām A Celebās South Africa spin-off
Adam ThomasāĀ twin, Love Island star Scott Thomas, has admitted he was āso angryā watching his brother in Iām A Celebrity⦠South Africa after the actor admitted he had been ābrokenā by former boxer David Haye.
The Waterloo Road star took to social media over the weekend to speak out on his and Davidās time in the Savannah after viewers were left furious at the sportsmanās treatment of Manchester-born Adam during recent episodes of the Iām A Celebrity⦠Get Me Out of Here spin-off.
Despite the series being pre-recorded last year, fans were quick to call for David to be removed from camp for his treatment of his fellow campmates, particularly Adam.
During Fridayās (April 17) episode of the All Stars version of theĀ ITVĀ reality series, which will see one of 12 returning Iām A Celeb stars crowned a show ālegendā, Adam was seen lying in bed as he admitted he wasnāt feeling well.
Reality star Gemma Collins tried to cheer him up by jokingly spoon feeding him. But when it came time to decide who was doing the next Bushtucker Trial, Adam, who has arthritis, was put forward by David, but said that it would be hard for him to do due to him feeling dehydrated.

This led to boxer DavidĀ calling him outĀ in front of his campmates. āDehydrated?! Weāve all got the same amount of water! Adam is doing it and thatās it!ā he fumed. When Adam said he could do it, but he wouldnāt be on his top form and it wouldnāt benefit the rest of camp, David continued: āWhen is your top form gonna come?ā While Adam laughed it off, David continued to his other campmates: āWhy arenāt we forcing this dude to go and do it. Coincidentally, every time thereās something to do, heās not feeling well!ā
The likes of Scarlett Moffatt stepped in to tell David to lay off Adam and eventually, Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts agreed to head out on the trial. But viewers were angered by Davidās treatment of Adam, which has now led to the formerĀ EmmerdaleĀ star speaking out.
Adam took to Instagram on Sunday (April 19) and shared a lengthy post opening up about how David affected him over the course of the pre-recorded series, which draws to a close with a live final this Friday (April 24). He wrote alongside a picture of him at the time of feeling unwell in his camp bed: āNot going to lie, this picture breaks my heart, as I know on the inside what I was dealing with and truth be told I thought it was all my fault. I now know thatās not the realityā¦
āMy time in Iām a Celebrity South Africa was one of the toughest things Iāve ever been through, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Watching it back hasnāt been easy at all. There were moments I felt pushed to my absolute limit, and if Iām honest, times I didnāt even recognise myself. Living with arthritis is something I donāt really talk about, as much as I should doā¦but in there it really took its toll.
āMy biggest fight was pretending to put on a brave face and trying to hide the pain! that can be exhausting within itself. There were days my body just didnāt want to keep going, but I did.ā

He continued: āI wonāt sit here and say I handled everything perfectly, because I didnāt. I wish I spoke up for myself sooner. I wish I stood my ground instead of trying to keep the peace, but Iāve learned that being kind doesnāt mean being weak, and sometimes it takes going through tough moments to find your voice.
āSince coming out, Iāve taken time to process everything, and Iām in a much better place now. I let go of the anger, had the conversations I needed to have, and chose peace. āWhat Iām most proud of, is at times like this I wanted to walk, I wanted to quit but I didnāt .
āEven when I wanted to walk away, even when it felt like too much, I never give up! and that means everything to me. He broke me in there, he pushed me to my limits, and Iāve told David this and heās apologised and thatās that! Iāve moved on now, am not one to hold a grudge.ā
Thanking fans for their ālovely messages and all the kind wordsā, Adam noted that āwe all face people and situations that try to break usā. But it didnāt take long for the post to rack up thousands of messages, including from his brothers as well as his past and present co-stars and fans.
It was twin brother Scott who expressed his anger, as he commented underneath the post: āI wish I could have been there for you my brotherā¦it makes me so angry that you went through thatā¦but Iām so proud of how youāve come out of the other side of all thisā¦the strongest youāve ever been and on an incredible journeyā¦standing in your power.ā
He also shared Adamās post to his Instagram Story and shared: āItās tough watching my twin bro go through that in thereā¦makes my blood boil! To see someoneās pure heart be tested like that is hard to watch, especially my brothers. But I understand he had to go through his own journey in there and the man heās become during/ since this experience has made me so proud! Love you @adamthomas21 and will always have your back.ā
Meanwhile, Adam and Scottās older brother, formerĀ Coronation StreetĀ starĀ Ryan Thomas, tried to keep things light, as he responded to the post: āI would like to say i would stick up for you in there but hes not the guy to pick a fight with, we need to give @tonybellew a call bro.ā
