Olivia is making a candid confession after her split from husband Bradley Dack

Her romance with Pete Wicks may be heating up, but it seems Olivia Attwood ’s feelings for her former partner, Bradley Dack, still run deep.

Last week, the star revealed that since splitting from the footballer she has “cried so much” she “nearly passed out”. The Love Island favourite ended their 10-year relationship in January, citing a “breach of trust”. But opening up about her struggle to get over the split, she said, “I love him as a person.”

Her confession came as she hit back at accusations she’s failed to show emotion since her marriage breakdown. “It doesn’t mean I don’t cry,” she told the Extra Dirty podcast. “I have cried, I’ve cried so hard during this break-up to the point where I f**king think I’m going to pass out, and then I will slap myself in the face and go to work.

“I don’t need to be crying on the internet. I don’t think that people, professionally, are going to respect me and book me to host their TV shows when I’m videoing myself lying on the floor crying.”

While Olivia’s confession could have come as a blow to new love Pete Wicks – with whom she reportedly enjoyed a secret St Tropez getaway just last week – we’re told the level-headed star is unfazed.

“Pete is very chilled,” a source tells new. “He understands [her comments] and that she’s been through a lot. He’s been her greatest supporter and strength, and he gets it.”

However, our source says Pete would still prefer Olivia to be a little less loose-lipped, having previously enjoyed the clandestine nature of their off-radar relationship.

“It was quite exciting when it was all in secret and it’s maybe not quite as exciting now,” says our source. “He’d rather she didn’t talk about Bradley publicly and while Pete understands it, he’d like her not to be so open.”

Pete and Olivia have been pals since first meeting at the 2017 Specsavers Awards, but last month pictures of them enjoying a smooch in a dimly lit London bar confirmed rumours they’ve become more than just friends. But although Olivia may be willing to spill the beans on Bradley, 32, she seems keen to keep her romance with Pete under wraps.

Last week the Bad Boyfriends host, 34, shared snaps of their French getaway on Instagram – but made no mention of Pete, 37.

It was only when eagle-eyed fans spotted the former TOWIE hunk’s glasses in photos that it emerged the couple were in fact enjoying a romantic break together, reportedly staying at St Tropez’s luxury Lily Of The Valley hotel at a cost of £1,000 a night.

“They didn’t want all the media pressure and glare on them – that does take the romance out of it,” says our source. “They’re very wary of cameras and of who’s following them and talking about them, and who to trust.”

Despite still feeling “love” for Bradley, Olivia recently spoke of her 10-year struggle as she dealt with his alleged cheating, saying she was made to feel like a “f**king idiot”. In a blistering statement slamming the sports star, she wrote, “I have stood by Brad for the last 10 years during which he lied & cheated on me multiple times.

“The breakdown of our relationship is because of this. I was in love with him and the potential I saw in him and wanted always to help him try to be the best version of himself – as I did for 10 years.”

She went on to say how she covered up his infidelity, “lying to my family and friends” and “believing the grovelling apologies”.

She added, “I of course now feel like a f**king idiot (Especially as more things come to the surface). I never wanted to say any of this. I find the whole situation utterly humiliating. But some of the disgusting things written about me in the last few weeks just blow my mind – and of course sadly it’s always fellow females doing the writing.”

Far from being annoyed at her post, Bradley stunned fans by leaping to Olivia’s defence after she was criticised online. Wading into negative remarks in the comments section, he wrote, “You’ve got a lot of this wrong… just leave her alone.”

The row erupted as it emerged that Olivia and Bradley were never in fact legally married, despite appearing to tie the knot on screen in June 2023. Although Olivia is yet to reveal why she never made their union legally binding, last month she stressed she did everything she could to make their relationship work.

“I think that when you know you tried, we both tried so many things to make it work, so of course it’s just so sad,” she said on the Extra Dirty podcast.
