But away from the cameras and eyes of the public many celebrities secretly enjoy a cigarette behind the scenes.
Last week, Rachel Stevens was spotted puffing a cigarette while sitting in the street – years after revealing her battle with quitting the habit.
Meanwhile although Dua Lipa declared she had stopped smoking back in 2024, it appears the singer has picked the habit back up and even provided cigarettes to the guests at her Sicilian wedding to Callum Turner earlier this month.

The S Club 7 star, 48, squatted on a stoop with a pal while lighting and dragging on a cigarette last week amid her 31 year fight to stop smoking which has come alongside her squeaky clean ‘girl next door’ image.
Having shot to fame in 1998 in the pop group alongside Tina Barrett, the late Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara and Hannah Spearritt, Rachel has long-been a tabloid sweetheart, meaning she was frequently pictured.
During 28 years in the spotlight and many years on the party scene, the stunner has been seen puffing away, while her latest sighting proves she is yet to stop.
In 2019, New Zealand‘s Metro Magazine journalist Eli Orzessek shared details of meeting the group in an article entitled: ‘”They smelled strongly of ciggie smoke”: Eating breakfast with S Club 7 in late-90s Auckland’.

Joined by Phillip Schofield and Dermot O’Leary, the group all looked in very good spirits as they congregated outside for a smoke.

However she has once again locked into her fitness routine as she revealed this week she is taking a month off to spend time with her children and focus on her health and fitness.

The pop star initially managed to kick the habit for her Future Nostalgia tour in 2022 in order to make sure her vocal health was at its best.
She told host Seth: ‘I was smoking cigarettes at the time… But I’ve stopped. I’ve quit, guys.’
It is not clear exactly when the Houdini hitmaker began smoking, but after suffering from laryngitis in December 2021 she felt the need to quit for the sake of her tour and later gushed about how much ‘confidence’ quitting had given her.
Speaking on her At Your Service podcast, she revealed: ‘I had laryngitis in December and that kind of kickstarted me quitting smoking a month earlier than I was supposed to. But I did it and I have stuck to it.’
However it seems the popstar is back smoking again after sharing recent Instagram posts.
Dressed in a silver bodysuit with a cigarette in her mouth, she captioned the snap: ‘anyone got a light?’
Meanwhile at her wedding to Callum Turner earlier this month cigarettes were provided and on the chairs outside for the ceremony.

The presenter previously discussed the unhealthy habit back in 2012, when she broke down on This Morning and revealed her guilt at continuing to smoke while pregnant.
Although she said she had cut down from her 10 a day, she has struggled to quit altogether.
She said on This Morning: ‘At the end of the day, nothing that I can say makes it right. All I can say is that from the day I found out that I was pregnant, I have tried my best to give up.
‘I completely understand why people would be angry, because for some people it’s incomprehensible.
‘As soon as you get pregnant, you think you need so stop. I did smoke between 5 and 10 a day, but I completely cut down and from there on I have been trying to stop.
‘I’m smoking between one and three a day, if that… I just thought I would be able to quit. And some days I’ve done really, really well and had none but there are some days when I have had some. I’m doing my best to just go without, but sometimes it’s not just as easy to cut it out.’
