How to have perfect shirts without creases? 7 simple and effective tips
Nobody likes to iron their clothes! It requires a lot of effort, precision and patience. Especially when you have a lot of clothes piled up, including a lot of shirts. Very delicate, the latter require much more ironing time, because they bend and crease more easily than the rest of the wardrobe.

How to iron easily to get shirts like new? We have the right methods for you!

Here are 6 tips for getting the perfect wrinkle-free shirts:

Washing

In truth, it all starts with the wash: the wash cycle is one of the first factors to consider, even before ironing. Since the washing machine spins the  laundry  before the end of the wash cycle, you have to be very precise to set the wash speed correctly when it comes to shirts.

The same goes for hand washing: above all, avoid pulling the clothes too much when rinsing them.

The waiting time in the drum

Once you’ve washed your clothes in the  washing machine , use this trick from Grandma.

To make ironing shirts less laborious, it was customary in the past, and still today, to shake shirts and generally delicate garments vigorously before hanging them to dry.

So, when the washing is done, immediately open the door of the machine and lay out the shirts one by one to iron out any creases.

You should know that the shirts bend with the pressure of the water in the washing machine. As they are not arranged correctly, this contributes to the formation of folds.

Also, if you leave them in the drum for a long time, not only will the wrinkles be more difficult to remove, but you may also have to do a second wash because of standing water forming on the clothes.

Steam

Humidity and steam are usually factors that damage linens.

However, when it comes to ironing  shirts , steam remains a great ally.

Many irons have a system that releases steam when necessary.

So when you get to the creases in your shirt, use the steam to smooth out the water!

If you don’t have a steam iron, you can simply spray a little warm water on the affected area and then run the iron over it.

Iron cleaning

As much to specify, the first rule of a good ironing is first to have a clean iron!

Likewise, cleaning the washing machine is essential to prevent the laundry from smelling or staining inside the drum.

So clean your iron after having checked it periodically, especially with regard to the accumulation of limescale on the soleplate.

aluminum

The foil method is another old remedy that allows you to eliminate creases.

Just wrap aluminum foil around the ironing board, lay the shirt on it and start ironing.

Naturally, for optimal ironing, check that the table is in good condition and that it is not excessively worn.

Don’t forget that the table, like the iron and the washing machine, are parts that last over time, but that you have to change sometimes, otherwise they risk damaging your clothes.

corn starch

Finally, you can still opt for a practical solution for your shirts using only one ingredient!

This is corn starch, a product that promotes easier and less restrictive ironing.

Dissolve 3 tablespoons of starch in 500 ml of water, then pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray it on the clothes before ironing them.

Warning

It is very important to read the washing instructions on the labels of the shirts before washing them.
